The most profound way our past affects our present is through our relationships.

Relationship Therapy

Relationships have the power to bring us our greatest sense of belonging, connection and fulfilment. They can also become places where we experience misunderstanding, conflict, distance or repeated patterns that leave us feeling hurt, disconnected or stuck.

Relationship therapy offers a safe and supportive space for you and your partner or partners to slow things down together, explore what is happening within your relationship, and develop a deeper understanding of the patterns that may have become difficult to change on your own.

My work is grounded in a relational and attachment-based approach. I believe that the ways we connect with one another are shaped by our earliest relationships and life experiences. These experiences influence how we seek closeness, respond to conflict, communicate our needs, and experience trust, intimacy and vulnerability. Although each person brings their own unique history into the relationship, it is within the relationship itself that these patterns become visible and can begin to be understood.

Rather than asking who is right or wrong, therapy invites us to become curious about the patterns that develop between you. Together, we explore how these patterns came to exist, what they may have been protecting, and whether they continue to serve your relationship today. By slowing things down and making space for reflection, it becomes possible to understand not only what is happening between you, but also why it keeps happening.

Whether you are experiencing recurring conflict, communication difficulties, challenges around trust or intimacy, the impact of trauma on your relationship, or simply feel that you have become disconnected from one another, therapy provides an opportunity to explore these experiences with compassion, openness and curiosity.

How Relationship Therapy Can Help

I see relationship therapy as a collaborative process. The therapeutic relationship creates a secure base from which difficult conversations can be explored safely and honestly.

My commitment is to the relationship itself, rather than to the individuals. My role is not to take sides, but to create a space where everyone feels heard, understood and able to explore the relationship with openness, curiosity and respect.

I work at a pace that feels manageable, helping to slow interactions that may have become overwhelming and bringing curiosity to the patterns that often repeat themselves. As understanding grows, people frequently discover new ways of communicating, responding to one another and navigating difficulties with greater empathy, flexibility and confidence.

Therapy cannot change what has happened between you, but together we can begin to understand the experiences and patterns that continue to shape your relationship today.

Relationships cannot flourish without feeling understood. Together, we create a space where understanding can grow, making new ways of relating to one another possible.
